Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker unveils 13-week neighborhood cleaning initiative.

In Philadelphia, Mayor Cherelle Parker has announced an ambitious 13-week neighborhood cleaning program starting in June and running through August 26th, with the goal of cleaning every residential street by the end of summer. The Office of Clean and Green Initiatives, under the directorship of Carlton Williams, is spearheading the united effort against urban decay. This comprehensive initiative will tackle various quality of life issues such as litter, illegal dumping, graffiti, abandoned vehicles, vacant lots, and nuisance properties. The initiative will focus first on the areas between Kensington, Torresdale, and Delaware avenues in Frankford before expanding to other neighborhoods.
